iDEAL Acquiring Licencees and Collecting Payment Service Provider Certificate Holders

Acquirers and CPSPs act as payment service provider for the entrepreneur. Once they have received the iDEAL payments from the issuer (consumer bank), acquirers and CPSPs ensure that the entrepreneur receives the iDEAL funds. If an acquirer or CPSP wishes to fulfill a role in the iDEAL payment system, it must demonstrate via a self-assessment that they comply with the rules set by Currence iDEAL B.V. In addition, the acquirer or CPSP must be registered as a payment service provider in the licence register of the relevant European regulator that is maintained by order of the government (e.g. De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB)). The benefit of the publication is that it is clear to everyone what parties can participate in iDEAL payment system.

Currence publishes the names of companies which have obtained a licence or certificate for iDEAL.
